Happy Book Lovers Day!

Today is book lovers day and I’m ready to celebrate all the books!  My mom once told me that when I was little and before I could really read, that I would follow her or anyone who would listen around with books and magazines reading the letters to them.  It’s clear that I’ve been a lover of books since WAY back and to celebrate I wanted to share a few books currently on my nightstand that I’m either reading or about to read.

Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon

Happy Book Lovers Day-Everything Everything

My niece and I have a bookclub.  It’s just the two of us reading books and then face timing each other and chatting about them.  Since my Niece and I don’t live in the same state this is one way I can connect with her and honestly it’s my favorite bookclub that I’ve been a part of.   We’re reading this young adult book that was turned into a movie and I have to say, it’s been a good and quick read.  I’m enjoying the story and how it’s unfolding and one rule I have about books that become movies is to read the book first.  If you’re looking for a good book to read with a teenager in your life, this is a great book.

Wait and See by Wendy Pope

Happy Book Lovers Day-Wait and See

One thing I don’t always talk about on the blog is my Faith.  But my Faith in God is a very big part of my life and while I don’t always share here on the blog, there will be times that I will, and this is one of those times.  This book is SO good.  I’m not good at waiting for things I’d like to see happen in my life from relationships to my business and everything in between.  Waiting for me is hard and usually leads me to taking action and having everything blow up in my face. If you are in a season of life where you are waiting and are like me and struggle at waiting,  I highly recommend this book.  It is an easy to read guide on how to wait on God with real life examples and scriptures plus a interactive section of questions that you answer as you read the book.

While this book has been helping to be better at waiting it has also expanded me spiritually that I am truly grateful for.  Check out this book if you’re in a season of waiting, you will be so glad that you did.

Cultivate  by Lara Casey

Happy Book Lovers Day-Cultivate

After I finish Wait and See, this book is next.  I actually started it thinking I could read it at the same time I’m reading Everything, Everything and Wait and See but that didn’t work so I put this one at the bottom of my stack and can’t wait to dive in.  I’m such a fan of Lara Casey and the Power Sheets have transformed my goal setting that I was so excited to read more about cultivating an intentional life.  There have been a lot of hard changes in my life at the end of 2016 and 2017 that it’s caused me to really evaluate my life and what matters to me.  I’m looking forward to this book offering me helpful guidance on how to cultivate my life purposefully.  I’ll follow up once I’ve read this one with my thoughts.

Well, these are the books that I’m reading right now.  If you’re looking for a new book to read or a few to add to your list, I hope you find one from my list.
