I’m a Daddy’s girl through and through and wanted to celebrate the coolest dude I know today on Father’s Day. My Dad lived in a house full of women, with the only other man being our dogs. My Dad is low key, super polite, reserved and loves jazz. He taught me about quiet leadership and was the biggest cheerleader showing up for my sister and I supporting us at recitals, sports and any other activity we signed up for.
My Dad’s love is in everything he does for my sister, mom and me. From waking up early in the morning to take me to a weekly eye doctor appointment when I was a little girl that included a breakfast of a funny face pancake at the Village Inn. Bringing home a New Edition album when I was in middle school (yes I’m that old) knowing this group was one of my favorites. But what stands out the most to me is whenever I’ve faced a problem or was having a tough time, my Dad would be there to motivate me to keep going and keep the faith knowing that everything will work out.
Here’s a few more things about my awesome Dad. He makes the best peach cobbler, French toast and pepper steak and I love that I can talk to my about Dad everything. He truly is the best and I’m so grateful that I get to call him Dad.
Happy Father’s Dad to my Dad and all the awesome Dad’s who are also really cool dudes!
