When it comes to making list, one of the quickest ways to loose motivation is to have more things added to that list with very little getting crossed off. I totally get it. A mile long to do list would keep anyone uninspired. Well I’m sharing three helpful and easy tips for managing the never ending to-do list.
After making a list of things you need to do, review the list and identify your top 3 or 5 things you need to get done that day. Focus on just those things and leave the rest on your list to tackle the next day. This will allow you to focus on what matters right now without feeling like you need to do everything that’s on the list.
#2 SET A LIMIT
To keep your to-do list manageable from day to day, set a limit on the number of task that will write down on your list each day. This is a perfect if you loose motivation when you see a bunch of things on your to do list. By limiting the number of task on the list, it allows you to keep stress at a minimum. It is also another way to prioritize the things you need to get done. No one can get a list of 20 things done in a day unless the don’t eat, take breaks or have anything else to do. None of us are living that kind of life.
#3 FLIP THE SCRIPT
If to do list bring you down write a “get to list”. This will shift your mindset on your to do list from being an arduous list of task to things you will be able to do. When we’re looking forward to the task at hand we’re more likely to be inspired to get it done.
Another way to change up how you do to-do list is to do a “Done” list. Write down all the things you finished each day. This will keep you motivated and make you feel productive even if you have a full list of things to do.
