One of the questions I am most frequently asked is which invitation option is better printed or printable. While both options are great, my response to this question is based more on you and your celebration. Are you pressed for time and need invitations right away? Are you looking to stay within a certain budget? Are you big on DIY? The answers to these questions can help me to identify which option is best for you.
WHEN TO CHOOSE THE PRINTABLE
The Printable options offered in the shop are 1 PDF or 2 PDF’s on a 8.5 x11 sized page. If you love DIY and enjoy getting crafty (you’re not alone me too!) then the Printable option is for you. The printable option may also be perfect for you if you need a small quantity of invitations, are pressed for time or if you’re managing your party budget. By choosing the printable option, you can print Scratch Paper Studio invitations at home, with a local printer or at an office supply store like Staples, Kinkos etc.
One thing to note… Choosing the printable option can mean that there is not as much control over how the colors on the invitation print or the type of paper stock that is available.
WHEN TO CHOOSE THE PRINTED OPTION
Scratch Paper Studio invitations are printed on a lovely card stock but getting these invitations printed takes time. If your planning timeline allows for the 7 to 10 business days it takes to have invitations printed, then the printed option is for you. The printed option is also for you if you are not interested in doing a little bit of DIY or you just don’t have the time. If you need more than 25 invitations printed this option is also the best option for you.
One thing to note… While printing cost can sometimes get expensive, if you have limited time to assemble invitations, the cost of having your invitations printed can pay for itself in the time it can save you.
WHEN TO MIX IT UP
The best time to choose both printed and printable for your party stationery is if you want more than just an invitation and also want additional paper goods for your party. Save yourself time and have your invitations printed while having place cards, gift tags or thank you notes created as printables. This option is perfect when you want to stay within a budget or want to reduce the time spent crafting paper goods for your party. Plus with this option, you can solicit a little help from family or friends and have a little fun at the same time.
I hope that this gives you a bit more insight when choosing whether to choose to print of have a printable created for your next invitation. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me. Happy Wednesday everyone!
