Let’s talk Gratitude and it’s benefits. There is plenty of scientific support that talks about the benefits of gratitude. I thought I’d share a few of those benefits below:
- boost to your well being
- appreciation for what you have and the people in your life
- improved relationships
- more contentment
- eliminates stress
- self-esteem booster
- improves mental health
In addition to the benefits above, there are also a few health benefits including:
- getting better sleep
- increased immunity
- healthier heart
While we often focus on gratitude in conjunction with Thanksgiving, with all of these benefits, it seems crazy not to practice gratitude everyday and not just around the Thanksgiving Holiday. It’s clear that practicing an attitude of gratitude is definitely great for your health and overall well being.
Over the rest of this month I will share some challenges and ways to start practicing daily gratitude. Check back next week for the first challenge.
