Instead of making a list of resolutions and only following through with like two of them, I now choose a word or phrase to define my year. That word, phrase or both becomes the guide for the goals and plans I make for the year.
Close to the end of 2014 I thought I had picked out my word for 2015. Then my schedule got hectic leading up to Christmas and caused me to rethink my word for the year. After being exhausted over the Christmas break, I realized that I needed to slow down and I needed to shift my focus. I couldn’t let my to-do list run my life and I couldn’t set these crazy schedules for myself anymore. I I really couldn’t keep thinking that a jam packed schedule is good. It’s not good at all. From all the crazy schedules and being exhausted, I knew this year is all about the word FOCUS and this phrase…
Do Less With More Focus
Instead of creating a mega to do list or over extending myself I’m choosing to focus on things that matter and by being protective of myself and my time, I’m also doing what’s best for not just me but this business. Once the word Focus settled in to my heart making plans for 2015 became so much easier. I could easily pick the key things I wanted to focus on this year for myself and my business. While old habits are hard to break. I have committed myself to focus my time and energy on those things that best benefit the goals I’ve set and to be protective of them. I haven’t given up making list, I just made a promised to myself to not fill the to do list with endless business task but to add in more fun like dance breaks, binge watching television, reading books and trying some new things this year.
What’s you’re resolution(s) or word for the year? I’d love to hear them and we can encourage each other throughout the year. If you’re looking to do less with more focus or just enjoy getting a lovely and new wallpaper to refresh your desktop, download the wallpaper using the link below and Enjoy!
